When you decide to build your own one-of-a-kind caravan or camper, there are a lot of decisions to be made.  AFA panels uses only the highest quality materials in the manufacturing of your panels and we recommend using only the highest quality fittings when it comes to assembling your vehicle.

INTERNAL CONDUITS

One of the most common options we offer are fibreglass conduits.  Offering versatility, fibreglass conduits not only provide for easier running of electrical wires during your panel assembly, but they have the added bonus of acting as a strengthening device.

While PVC conduits are a relatively inexpensive option, they do not compare to the bonding ability and the internal strength provided by fibreglass conduits.

AFA conduits come in various sizes, including 25mmx25mm, 25mmx38mm and 20mmx10mm. Depending on the thickness of our XPS foam core you choose, it can be routered to allow for the insertion of these fibreglass conduits before the panel lamination process begins.

INTERNAL I-BEAMS

It's vital that your panels have strength when installing air-conditioning units or doors into your panels.

Fibreglass I-beams are the best choice for this purpose. They are machine made specifically for our 25mm and 35mm XPS foam and provide extra support and a solid base for your hardware to be attached to the panel.  The foam sheets are rebated to allow the I-beams to be insert internally into the panel and maintain the integrity of the panel aesthetic.

THERMO-LITE®

Thermo-Lite Board® is a unique closed cell, lightweight composite product manufactured with cross-linked polymer foam and fiberglass, offering high specific strength and toughness.

The non-absorbent material is extremely durable and dimensionally stable, provides an excellent bonding surface, has good impact strength, sound and thermal insulation, and is resistant to contamination and high temperatures.

Thermo-Lite Board® is built for lifetime performance and is ideal for camper floors and can be inserted inside panels as fixing points.

ROOF PANEL JOINER

Designed to join a 29mm panel to a 40 mm panel.
Often used to attach the roof panel to a 29mm wall panel, the joiners are part of the ‘monocoque’ construction responsible for the immense strength.

Available in 6.5m lengths.

FLOOR PANEL JOINER

Designed to secure the lower edge of the composite wall to BOTH the chassis and the floor.
The joiner is attached to the outrigger system such that when the floor is installed the panel joiner is ‘trapped’ between the outrigger and the floor providing a very robust fixing.

Available in 6.5m lengths.

WALL PANEL JOINER

Designed to join two 29mm panels together.
Can be used for both the rear wall and roof situations, the joiners form part of the ‘monocoque’ construction responsible for the immense strength.

Available in 6.5m lengths.
